China's industrial textile industry has forged ahead with great vigor, achieving major breakthroughs in multiple dimensions such as scale, quality and technological innovation, and has delivered an outstanding report card featuring "stable volume, improved quality and global leadership". The industry has performed outstandingly in total data such as fiber processing volume and nonwoven fabric output. China has remained the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of industrial textiles, demonstrating its strong industrial strength. The industry has been making continuous breakthroughs in enterprise growth, technological innovation, intelligent manufacturing, green development and standardization construction, laying a solid foundation for high-quality development.
In terms of total data, in 2024, the fiber processing volume of China's industrial textile industry reached 21.384 million tons, with an average annual compound growth rate of 3.3% during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. The output of nonwoven fabrics reached 8.561 million tons, with an average annual compound growth rate of 1.4%. The output and export value of the industry's major products both account for about 30% of the global total. In 2024, the export volume of nonwoven fabrics reached 1.516 million tons and the export value was 4.04 billion US dollars, both setting new historical records.
